Algámitas is situated in the heart
of the Sierra Sur of Seville, near the border of the neighbouring
provinces of Cádiz and Málaga.
Algámitas ( 1.500 inhabitants ), named after the
Arab word “algami” ( rock ), shows all the features
which distinguish the villages of
the mountains in the south-east of Seville, far from
the bustle and crowds of big cities, but at the same time
near ( under 40 minutes drive ) places and towns with
great historical and artistic heritage, such as Osuna, Écija,
Morón de la Frontera, Olvera, Ronda or Antequera.
Its surroundings as well as the character of its inhabitants,
open and cheerful, make the visitor feel at home in this
area and spend unforgettable days resting in direct contact
